Sweet i still have yet to see one in the wild.
I wish they were more common like the black racers down here.

Re: What makes an Idigo an APEX predator?
What is an IDIGO? That's an Indigo snake, Drymarchon sp.
.
Those photos are all over the net for about a year.. best guess is that is south-central Texas.. but locations from Florida to California have been claimed (most are obviously false).. I've witnessed Texas indigo snakes eating other snakes and it is quite a sight.. that series may be staged.. the diamondback looks to have been beaten-up around the head..
.
Indigo snakes are not apex predators.. since other animals eat them.. most notably birds of prey..but also mammals.. and of course people kill them too.
.

.
Have fun, be safe.

Re: What makes an Idigo an APEX predator?
Thanks for the lesson Gus!
Yeah i meant Indigo, it was a type-o. My bad, ill be more careful next time.
And when i said APEX, yeah it was kind of an exaggeration. Kind of dramatic! Hype maybe! All in all just fun! Im just kind of fond of a NON venomous snake that eats one that is. You know?
How about APEX in the reptile world, huh, would you allow that Gus?

Re: What makes an Idigo an APEX predator?
That was South central Texas, around Brownsville. Can be checked out on Snopes.com, but that series is on just about every message board on the web!
