Corns and Pueblan/sinaloan/honduran milks are usually all good feeders,
avoid red milks, or some of the smaller species, they sometimes require some extra attention in terms of feeding.

but as with any snake, with the proper care and handling, they can be very docile and easy to manage.

There are dozens if not hundreds of care sheets and write ups on kings and milks,
even several books.

Hope that helps.

My husband and I have 2 RedTails, 2 Ball Pythons, an Albino Cali Kingsnake and a chequered garter snake. All of these snakes are very different from one another. Our Kingsnake is VERY fun to play with and handle. It's still small but enjoyes crawling in and out of every thing in front of it. I think you'll enjoy your new addition very much. Our next purchase is a Desert Kingsnake. Its one of the prettiest snakes I've seen. It has a solid black head and from is neck down is black with bright yellow spots. It looks like a small checkers board with yellow and black colors. The black looks purple in the light as it crawls around.

Many of the colubrids can be some of the easiest snakes to take care of. They generally don't need extremely high temperatures, average humidities, etc. Many feed very well (my gopher snakes never seem to get enough!). If you get neonate snakes ask the breeder/seller if they are feeding on pinkie mice. Some varieties, like gray band kingsnakes, are lizard eaters in the wild and even captive born specimens can have that genetic food imprint. It's not impossible to get them to eat pinkies eventually, but takes a bit of patience and strategy. Corn, king and milk snakes I've found the majority to be very docile. There's always the odd ball exception, just like with boas but if they are captive bred you shouldn't have any temperment problems.

Well as for me you can see I have 2 Bci's 1 corn and 1 Pueblan Milksnake....All are easy to care for...Feeding is something different...Corns and Milks eat whatever you feed them. My corn will be a yearling in May and I had him since he was 3 months old he has always been a great eater...when he was little he was very active but was so much fun to watch and play with. Now as for my milk he is much different than the corn, he is very quick and skittish and he does musk me everytime I hold him, which is many times daily. He is a great eater also...Anyway from my point of view either snake would be a great addition to your small collection as they were to my small collection. Good luck and keep us posted on your endevers. Blueeheeler/Jamie
