vacation
I have been on vacation for 2 weeks. Do you think my collection will be okay? My collection is in my avatar. My mom has given them water and all cages are locked

Re: vacation
You have been on vacation? I dunno, ARE they ok? I guess you mean you will be...as long as everyone has water and heat I assume they'll be fine, barring any snake ignorant incidents. Does you mom know how to care for snakes properly? Is she afraid of them?

Re: vacation
Two weeks? That's two feedings. I'd get a snake-savvy friend to come over and feed my critters for me while I'm gone. I'd never leave my snakes unattended that long... too much can go wrong. I get nervous going away for 3 days. :\

Re: vacation
Just giving them water's not quite enough. Does your mom clean out the cages, too? I know I wouldn't want to sit in my own waste for that long, especially if you fed them before you left and if there's urates and feces laying around, you can bet they're crawling around in it, possibly through their own water and getting the substrate damp, leading to a possible cesspool of bacterial growth that they'll have to sit in until you get back.
If your mom's cleaning out the tanks on top of providing water, they should be fine.. but you should have someone come over and feed them, as Xieke said.

Re: vacation
If your mom is providing fresh water and picking up waste....their needs are being met.
Even if you are of the belief they need scheduled weekly feedings (I'm not one who does) and since you fed them before you left; they will only 'miss' one feeding.
If they were healthy when you left to go on vacation, nothing should be out of control when you return.
