I love going out right after a rain at night. The roads crawl with frogs and hundreds of Ribbons chasing the frogs. Given the fact that thousands seem to come out of the woodwork during and right after a rain, I always wonder where they are the rest of the time.

I agree... Those are really pretty... but they remind me of garter snakes too much for me. I Hate Garter Snakes.

Lol, did you have traumatizing experience as a child, Morti?
And yes, that is a very pretty ribbon...my very first snake was a ribbon. Can't say I have too many fond memories of the little guy. I remember wondering why no one ever told me snakes stank, lol.
