hey guys how can i get my new king snake tyo eat. just remember he doesnt look like he has missed to many meals, buthe has settled for a week, and hasnt eaten. any advice would be appreciated.

maybe he isnt hungry yet. one week isn't the time to panic. If he refused a rat...try a mouse. or vica versa. He may have a preference. Kingsnakes, even wild caught are not often problem feeders. I have never had trouble getting kings to eat frozen/thawed rodents even when freshly wildcaught. But any snake no matter how well he feeds is subject to fasting now and then for whatever reason. Just because he hasn't eaten within the first week does not mean he is a non-feeding snake.

yeah i am not to worried i will be moving him to my female corn snakes cage this weekend, cause i just picked up a 125 for my male and female corn fro 60 bucks so he should be a lot happier in a 29 gallon than a ten gallon that i have him in now. so he should be happier in that one. i will post a pic of the snake and then the enclosure i plan to put him in and you can tell me what you think. thanks julius you have helped me out tremendously.
