TV Dinner
I just wanted to like you know, Tx Rat took her 1st frozen thawed feed last night. She's been on live prey all her life, and due to sort supply i had to give her prekiller and thawed food last night. I warmed it up and just moved it a bite with a long twiser I have. She striked, coiled, and eat.
Isn't she a angle no hassle nothing. If she keeps taking "TV dinners" it will make my life so much easier.
Just thought I'd let you know.

Re: TV Dinner
Trust me, you should never have a problem feeding your Texas rat f/t rodents now that it has eaten one for you.
I have 4 of them, and all 4 are pigs.

Re: TV Dinner
I'm just so proud of her. It's like the first time you (human) baby walks.
El cascabel I'm glad to hear from more Tx keepers. I'm new to this whole thing and will surely call on your expert advice if I have any trouble. How old are yours mine is only 7months and about 45cm. I had 2 but the male did the houdini thing about 3 weeks ago. It's winter here so made he will show again once it starts to warm up. Its the female that took the f/t now. She's one with a bit of "personality" I swear she gets PMS. Her favorite now a days are to climb under the carpet and stay there. Oh her names Medusa yeah I know not very original but with her tail wagging the first time I handled her it just had to be.

I hope that you find the male.
Hehe... they can have a nasty attitude at times, but the bites aren't so bad.
I have 2 leucistic males. One of them is over 5 yrs. old and about 6 and a half ft. long. He is one of the sweetest TX rats I have ever seen. The other one is just over a year old and he is the devil.
My 1 year old females are both very tame. One is het for leucistic and the other is an orange phase.
I'll post pics later.
