Orange Pareas carinatus
I thought that BW Smith might be interested in this one. Over most of its range, Pareas carinatus is yellow in colouration. This one from the Chiang Mai Province is orange, which to me was very interesting, since I never had previously seen this colour variation in this species:

This specimen was found in Doi Inthanon National Park.
Cheers,
Michael

Re: Orange Pareas carinatus
Spectacular! Are you sure that it is carinatus? The head looks off to me (from my very limited exposure).

Orange Pareas carinatus
I asked the same thing. I was told in that area they are orange in colouration. As for the shape of the head, I will tell you off-line about that one
.
Cheers,
Michael

Re: Orange Pareas carinatus
What a beautiful little snake. What is its common name? How big is it, and is it arboreal?

I think its common name is 'Keeled Slug Snake'. I don't have the specimen log information with me, but it was somewhere between 50-60cm long. They are usually found on the ground.
