Pictures tomorrow, I promise.
Now, get the math on this.
I had 7 eggs total, 5 hatched on their own.... 4 albinos, 1 normal. Total, I had 6 albinos, and 2 normals(including the 3 that died in-shell).
How is this possible? I had twins in one egg! BOTH albinos. They died in-shell at the very last stage before hatching. I don't think they could pip fast enough and drown. There was NO room for movement in that egg. They were smashed tighter than.... well really tight.
And the one normal that died died in-shell because it ate itself. Yes. It ate itself. In Shell. I didn't think to get picture sof this, because my little brother is going to be burying the dead ones tomorrow, and I didn't want him to see that so i removed over half the baby's body length from it's own mouth. O.O Craziness.
I am really sad about losing the three that I did... I was really hoping the twins would have survived, and I tried to rescus them a bit, but it didn't work. Tomorrow they will be buried under the ferns in my backyard. And.. I have the survivors to think about. 4 albinos, 1 normal. And man they are cute as buttons. Pictures will be coming tomorrow as soon as I have them.

Sorry to hear about the dead ones,but did that snake really eat itself?? did you take any pics of that?

That isnt unheard of for a snake to eat itself..It is almost always fatal from my understanding. I think Jeff (boaphile) posted pics once of a boa doing just that.

congrats, and sorry about the ones that didnt make it out of the egg.
I have seen twins before, I had a clutch of cal kings that had two in one egg once.
it isn't super common, but not unheard of.
thats crazy.
