Wel my father was in miami for work and he found a snake.
Wel he said he is coming with it for me but i dont know what kind it is.
he said it is black like his belly is red orenge and he has a line like a collar around his neck and the color is yellow or darker then yellow plz if annybody can identifi this snake plz tel me or if you can can i have a picture of it plz [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif[/img]

Here's a pic of a southern ringneck we found living near our apartment in Orlando FL. Not the best pic, but you can see its black with a yellow ring around the neck. Its stomach was a light yellowish, but I think I read the stomach can range from whitish to yellow to orangish... Hope this helps.

They don't get very big at all, maybe 12-18inches. I've read some people do keep them as pets, but they can be difficult as they tend to feed on really small insects like termites, small worms, etc. which can make it difficult to make sure they're eating well. They tend to stay buried/hidden so they aren't very entertaining.

We just turned the one we found loose in a nearby wooded park with nice rotted logs.
