African House Snakes?
Does anybody keep them?
How are they as pets, and what is it like handling them?
Thanks

I have a reverse trio of them. They handle as easily as corn snakes, but they are not as flighty. The will hang out with you like a boa or small python. They are hardy, undemanding captives that are absolutely a joy to work with.
I have started recommending them to some people as an alternative first snake. I think of them as a snake for people that want a python, but need a corn.

Do you do any breeding Morti?
I can't have snakes now, but I would like to buy one when I go to college(4 years).
I know it's a long time, but it never hurts to start research early!

I very much agree with morti on this and they have the added benefit of not growing as large as a corn either which makes them nice for someone wanting a snake that stays small.
I’m on my second pair now and they will produce like weeds and eat like horses if you let them.

I know I will and I am guessing that Morti will also. I plan on always having them as part of our program in the future.
They are just that easy to work with.

They are fun and easy to work with. I haven't really gone out of my way to breed them because they are so easy to come by, but I suppose I could give it a shot next year.

I haven't been able to find any!
But if one of you two has some I'll take a young female.
I can have rodent eating reptiles in this house...
How can someone that eats poultry and fish say that?
