You could say that this beauty basically has been a joy ever since the day she came home (despite her Me Me ME attitude). We had some problems with F/T in that no matter what I would do, she would not eat pre-killed or F/t....and boy did I try EVERYTHING. Finally, I found out that the closest she would come to pre-killed is 'stunned' prey. Basically I have to knock the baby rat out first (she is up to rats which are just about ready to open their eyes) by exposing it to CO2, but not enough to kill it. She will then attack and constrict like her life depends on it. I like to use Royal Python instead of Ball Python because that is exactly how she acts. Like she is royalty. She has to have her cage in such a way, and her food must be served in such a manner, and if she doesn't want to go back in her cage then she will coil around your wrist and SQUEEZE.
Otherwise she has never balled up, never been defensive and has never bitten.

On top of her custom-made hide. She loves it.

A further out shot

Loves to climb up her branch and sometimes will just hang out up there after eating.

Her home. The water dish and Hide are custom made by a local man. He does all kinds of pottery work, and the 'caves' he makes are just perfect for my snakes. I strongly recommend his work if you want a hide that looks natural yet is very easy to wash. More expensive than a wood hide, or some overturned container, but only the best for this little girl *sigh*
You may be wondering what those papers are attached to the lights. Well I have the Type of animal, Name, Date of Birth/hatch, Temp and Humidity requirements and temperment.
