I have been corresponding with Ben Seigel and will be buying a baby solid white blue eyed male on Friday. But I have a few questions for people who have one. How hard are they to tame down? Will they always have the typical ratsnake attitude? Since it is a male, can I expect it to reach about 5 feet? Are they usually decent feeders? Any info you have would be great. Want to hear about other peoples experiences with these snakes. Thanks.

I have kept Leucistic TX rats for about 6 years, and I have a pair that both are completely tame like a corn snake,
my male was born in 96, and he is about 4 feet.
They have the potential to get about 5-6 feet just like a female,
in fact most of the big tx rats I find around my house are all males.

Most Elaphe males get bigger than the females...if not all...I've never really looked into it in depth....but I am sure there are exceptions. I have a pair of leucistic texas rats....my female is about 5 feet. the male is still quite small but neither will even attempt to strike or act out in any way.....they are both total sweethearts. I feed the male from the palm of my hand like I do my albino bullsnake...he is a very nonaggressive feeder....he just crawls up...opens his mouth and starts swallowing.

It will arrive Wednesday.
Hopefully he will be mellow and not a terror.
