I bought a baby garter snake at the Sacramento show today, and have put it into a small 10 gal tank. I'm not sure what I should keep the temp and humidity at. Can someone tell me or point me to a care sheet on them please? He didn't like it when I touched him though, prolly cause he's not used to it yet. Thanks in advance...
Beau

Better to learn in advance, but check this one out, Gartr snakes.
Also keep in mind they are very good escape artists, so ya gotta try and lessen the chances for escape any way you can.

Just moving this one to the Colubrid forum. Found it in the Caging/Housing forum.

I love garter snakes, they are what I grew up on when I was a kid...first snake to bite me, first snake to musk me...ohh, those were the days!
What ssp is it? Got a picture?

Sorry, J.....this lil one passed on a few days ago. Don't know why it died. Beau said he found it in its water dish, dead.
