Rowen to the vet
Took my cornsnake Rowen to the Vet today. I thought he had a respitory infection but the vet can't hear anything in his lungs. She thinks his head is a little swollen and his jaw doesn't line up quite right. So I was given some oral syringes to give to him every other day. Hopefully the clicking I hear when he breaths will stop now. We will see.

white lips are a different animal when it comes to RI's, just like bloods they can crash really really quickly with a RI.
but I've also noticed with white lips that they sometimes just make noises when they breathe, ive had perfectly healthy ones make wheezing noises, but not clicking noises.
regardless, i'd be very wary of white lip noises, good luck with that.

yea im nervous...i think im going to take him and my blood tommorow to the vet...i just bought them yesterday at the tampa show, i know its not my fault because i noticed the white lipped was making a clicking noise and the blood is wheezing and brething very heavily...they are also they only 2 of my 5 snakes that have bitten me....i think its because they are nervous and scared....i hope i wasnt sold defective snakes because i love them both and it would kill me if they died

I noticed the clicking when I first held him. Hes eating and he has shed twice since we have had him so thats not a problem. The vet thinks his head is a little swollen and his jaw line doesn't line up which could mean some kind of bacterial infection. I was glad to hear it wasn't a respitory issue though.
So I have to syringe him every two days(today being the first one)with a antibactrial medicine. Should be fun. I can syringe a horse no problem, snakes are a little more difficult.
Good luck on the white lipped python and the blood, if the clicking you hear doesn't go away or gets worse, its definalty time for a vet visit.
