Cali King Snake
Just got one today for half price because no wanted him, and I couldn't resist hehe. She is only 3 months old and a little nippy. The store owner has told me to feed her no more than 2 pinkies per week and for feeding he has given me a small plastic container... the sort you usually get live crickets in etc, he said to put the Snake inside this with one pinkie. I just want to know if this is right? If so, how long should I leave the Snake for..and do I need to move the pinkie a little to get the Snake to strike the same as I do with my Boa? Any info at-all is appreciated... and pics to come soon.

Please do not feed live if you already are.
The snake won't care if it's already dead or not moving or whatever... it's food. They don't need to play with it first. I never entertain my snake and he takes it every time in his hide box. Just leave the snake alone for about 30 minutes.. that should give you enough time. If it hasn't taken the food by then, it probably won't later on.

Okay the Snake has eaten, I left the pinkie in there for about 30 minutes like you said, and when I checked just now it had gone, thanks again.

is it leaving a noticeable bulge as for 3 months a snake should be on fuzzy mice/small mice for the bigger individuals really and if its not with 2 pinks its best to up the size to help with growth and exercise the jaws.
