Brown snake babies
Recently a friend gave me a few snakes found on her boyfriend's farm property, his family kills any and all snakes they find and my friend convinced them to just call her to come and get them. I recieved a couple garters, a young foxsnake and a brown snake. The brown was FAT and didnt want to eat for the two weeks it has been here, well today my instincts on its behavior were proven as I found 26 teeny tiny brown snakes and a skinny (and eager to eat) adult brown snake. These little guys are the smallest snakes I have ever seen, and I have had baby garters born before. We were planning on releasing them as soon as we find property where they will be welcomed but in the meantime they will need to be fed. I have read nothing but negative about feeding baby browns so I wanted to know if ANYone has had success. The mother is eating worms and we are going to try slugs as well, I have fed baby garters chopped up worms and moistened turtle food sticks, that is what I will try once they finish shedding unless someone knows differently.

I have a friend who had a similar situation, but she only got two babies. She's been feeding them chopped worms with no problems.

Send a PM to unBOAlievable. He has had success feeding newborns. In reality, you could turn them loose in front of your neighbors porch and they would never see them. 4 of them could hide under one piece of gravel.
