This is why it is called a King Snake
This came in email for an ID. A nice change of pace from the usual dekayii and Nerodia.

Eastern Kingsnake eating a Canebrake Rattlesnake.

i recently took a trip to louisiana we came across a bunch of those, i found one swallowing down a water mocosin, we caught copperheads, water mocassins and some kind of local cobra ? the wildlife is very abundant down their, i love it, on the back of the persons house we were staying at, if you were to go back their around sunset you could catch 5 or 10 green anoles

Wow! Talk about your eyes being bigger than your belly!
By the way, I'm having an entire suckling pig for lunch today. No guests. Just me.
It almost looks like the canebrake is bigger than the king.
