Maybe, just maybe...

I might just get a new corn snake...I have a 6x2x2 foot wooden cage custom built and almost ready for installment on wednesday for my RTB...After shes in there i will have nothing in the 20 gallon...I've noticed at some shows that corn snakes are pretty cheap, and they come in a lot of varieties. What are some of the cooler varieties and is a corn snake as easy as a BP and a RTB?

corn snakes to me are..well corny. no pun intended... lol

definately take a look at the colubrids and see what appeals to you, they are generally easy to take care of.. far more easier than ball pythons n rtb's and they will most definately eat 97% of the time.

i have a desert phase cali king and she eats every feeding day. there was one time didnt eat so i let her be for a day and offered again...and she ate..

There are tons of inexpensive snakes that would fit fine in a 20gal (long or tall?)

Rosy boas, sand boas, most kingsnakes and milksnakes (with the exception of black, andean, honduran milks).

Also, there are lots of other smaller ratsnakes like the Trinket rats that would do fine.

Beauty of colubrids is, that if you dont particularly fancy one, there are like 1200 more to choose from.
