feeding problem
well I have been having a problem with two of my corns same age and size(from the same clutch ghost motley X striped snow) and they are just not eating frozen prey. Could it be that they don't like cold dethawed food? I took one of the fuzzies and wiggled it in front of the males hide and it launched at it and constricted it and then did not eat it. The other one simply just smells it and pays more attention to my hand movement. Both have shed perfectly and appear to be in good condition. The only thing now is probably to give them freshly killed mice. what you think? Given they have been moved to a new enclosure. They are 45 cm and their tanks 60X45X30 cm.LXBXH

Me too, then usually add another splash of hot a few minutes before I feed it.

Hi,
My advice. Put the mice in a plastic sandwich bag(no holes!) Then put te bag in a cup of hot water until the mouse is warmed up then leave it on a rock near the hide or where the snake is. Another reason that it could refuse food is that if it is going into or is in brumation which is simply a temporary fast. Or if the worst happened and it has an impaction. It may not be any of these things and could simply be that it finds the food to large.
Hope to help,
Jamie

Well they have both eaten but what I find the problem is that they don't like a still mouse. I have to move it in front of them or they are not interested. will this improve you think? My other corn will gobble up anything.

Thats normal, some snakes want the mouse to move. For two of my snakes i have to heat them up or they're not interested. My BCI will eat anything i feed her. Just make them dance from now on and you should do just fine

i have to do the warm water thing with all my snakes. Not hot water tho. Now my corn is not usually a wiggly feeder but my Royal is but my Rainbow Boa is a fussy little begger. she wont take it if you wiggle it nor if its still the only way she will take now is if i drag it along the bottom of the viv by its tail away from her and she snaps it strait away??? god knows but it works?? Give it a try you never know
