there really isnt any tall tell signs on what sex colubrids are especially with corn or king snakes.. i would go and have them probed to determine the sex of the snake, but make sure you take it to someone who knows what they're doing or you might run into latter problems

That's only one question dude lol.

Anyway, if the snake is an adult and you know what to look for you can easily see the hemepene bulge in a male. Just past the vent towards the tail on the underside of the snake, the tail will bulge slightly outwards for about an inch or so and then taper. Females taper abruptly just past the tail. Now, if you haven't compared a lot of known sexed cornsnakes, you might make some mistakes...but after a while you can spot them from across the street.

depends I guess on how wide the street is lol.

Bry has a huge female corn. I refused to believe it wasn't a male because I have never seen a female close to that size anywhere. So I probed her and yep...she's a girl. That's the only time in recent years I can remember ever not being pretty 100% sure about the tail bulge thing or lack of. If it's a male, it can be pretty obvious but sometimes isn't so I only go by this if there is a very obvious bulge. If not, you can't just assume female. Some guys are hemechallenged ya know? I've had a few females turn out later to not be females but sometimes even probing can be evasive. It a male is small or is musking and his hemepenes are turning rightside out but not exposed or if your probe is too large...you may not find the little "pocket" and think it's a female. If I probe and know I didn't puncture anything...and it comes up male...I'll say it's a male. If it probes female, I will continue saying "I'm pretty sure it's a female" untill it drops babies or leaves a shed with little hemepene skins for me like my "female" canebrake did a while back lol...Life in the snakeroom would be SO MUCH easier if snakes had breasts.
