Talking Honduran Milksnake

Hi Everyone,

I'm very interested in Honduran Milksnake, I really like the Anerythristic color.
I would love any info you guys can offer on these snakes. Any at all. All so if anyone breeds or have any for sale would like to hear about them also.

Thanks a bunch,
James

I’m looking for any care info, and anything on their personalities and disposition. Also would like so breeder info, as to who might have them. I've never had any type of milksnake before, but fell in love with them at the last show I went to.

Thanks,
James

I would recommend the either the williams Kingsnake/milksnake book,
or Ron G.Markel's Kingsnakes and Milksnakes (TFH publications)

If your going to keep any type of snake, its best to get some type of literature to establish a basline with.

You can go on others experience, that is fine, but you still want some type of reference material you can use if someone isnt available.

As far as care goes, with just about any of the Hardy milksnakes (mexican, honduran, sinaloan, nelsons, easterns) they all pretty much have basic care requirements.

Naturally the ssp that occur in central america will require a little more heat and humidity, but not so much more so than one would suspect.

remember... Books are good.

As far as a breeder goes.

Where are you (geographically)?
Someone here may be able to point you to the closest breeder, or maybe you can check a show schedule and see if there is a herp show coming your way soon.

Its always best to meet the breeder, and see the animal before you buy it.

At least, I always thought so.

I'm in Durham, North Carolina. If anyone is near by I would love to chat and find out what types of snakes are living close by.
