info on so called 'Aztec' corn snakes

My partner would like an 'aztec' corn snake but has been told that they are difficult to find on the market. He also has little knowledge on looking after them as he only has a gecko at the moment! Being more of a lizard kinda person too, together we have no idea about their requirements except for heat, light and average food needs. We have looked at a few books and websites but would like personal knowledge as well as the 'text book' stuff!

We both hope someone will be able to give us specific information on this type, and possibly suggestions as to other types of corn - maybe snowies or normals if they think they would be easier for snake-keeping beginners.

Thank you to anyone who replies,
Kz

shiny; while i'm no expert by any means, i can say that of my 11 snakes, the 3 corns are the only ones that give me no problems at all. i'm not sure what type they are but all are voracious feeders except when shedding.all have great temperments and are easily handled although they do not sit still and are constantly trying to escape my hands.i think corns make a good choice for a first snake because they are easy to care for and quite inexpensive so if you later decide snakes aren't your thing you wont be out alot of $$$$
