Difference btwn colubrids and boids

What is the diff between colubrids and boids? isnt it something w/ the lungs and how primitive they are? Also what else if anything?
Thanks in advance!

One physical difference is that boids have spurs and colubrids do not.

Boids are the most Primitive of snakes, wheras Vipers are some of the more advanced snakes, Sadly with Colubrids there is so many drastic differance between subject and subject that it is hard on a whole group level to really compare to any other groups. I can prolly find out some info but the whole spur thing is one that really pops out

Boids are AMONG the most primative of snakes. The little group of blindsnakes are primativer (It that's a word)

Boids are all the pythons and boas including sand boas. Yes boas and pythons have 2 fully developed lungs. Colubrids, vipers and elapids only have one fully developed lung and one tiny remnant of a lung. Colubrids are basically everything that isn't a blindsnake, viper, elapid or boid...or whatever class a stiletto snake is now is a colubrid. Most are harmless. Many have rear fangs and some are even quite deadly. Here in the US though it's any snake that is not a pitviper, elapid (coralsnake), and our only boids are the rubber and rosy boas. so all the kings, rats, watersnakes, bulls, gophers, racers, etc etc etc.
