TSUNAMI is home!!
Ok.. sorry gang... im just so excited... I just brought home my first snake tonight... She's just a sweetheart!! She is a young Mexican Milksnake...
She's sulking right now... I didn't have enough time to dry out the substrate.. so she's in a temp home.. kinda cute.. she pulled in a piece of kleenex.. and pokes her head out.. and sticks out her tongue
Im hoping to get some good sun tomorrow to dry it out...
Got a question.. can i dry it out in the oven on low temp??????
Thanks...

congrats on your new snake...
i'm definately no expert, but i have been told by a friend that keeps alot of snakes that you can dry substrate in the oven on a low temperature (approx 90 deg. celcius). just make sure to keep an eye on it....

Haroldo... don't matter.. im not using it... can't get it to dry out.. so im getting different stuff... it wasn't the stuff in the first place that i really wanted... (its kinds like a peat moss dirt kinda stuff.. crappy if you ask me.. but then again im not an expert...) Its kinda funny... i think Tsunami know's she got a bigger home... last night she took the kleenex she was hiding with.. and decided to put it in her water dish... what a mess... she's definatly a character... which will blend in great with the rest of the crazy animals i have here.. sigh...
thanks for the tips...

is it a good idea to have kleenex in with a snake? if she put it in her water bowl she might digest some of it.

and its a good idea to have the cage ready for the snake before you bring it home....like the temps, humidity, substrate and everything else...moving the snake around alot will stress it out. (just a friendly tip )
