New here: sopure25's girl
Hey everyone! I just thought I'd come on this site and say hi since my boyfriend, sopure25, is on here so much. I know he'd like me to show more interest in snakes, so I figure if I'm on here I might start to like em more! Maybe you guys can provide some convincing arguments for why snakes are the best pets! ...I personally like toy poodles.

Thanks for the compliments and welcome everyone!
although, I don't want anyone raggin on dogs in order to make snakes sound better! haha..Kent's already tried that with me. (you know how it is when someone rags on your beloved snakes, right? ) I do agree that there are problems with dogs that you won't have with snakes...but I have to say that toy poodles are a lot better than other types of dogs. Someone told me they are the 2nd? smartest dogs..they don't shed..my dog never chewed up anyone's shoes (she's too little to do damage any way)...she doesn't make messes around the house unless she is sick (which is our fault anyway for feeding her from the table) ..and she's an indoor dog..so she doesn't exactly roam around the neighborhood gettin frisky. oh, and she doesn't bite hardly ever. She's been trained well. But..I'm sure there are other arguments that can convince me that snakes are good pets!
I think I like toy poodles because they have so much personality and give a lot of love. But like boaman said, some people want to be able to put the snake in the cage when they don't want to deal with it, but a dog is always around. I know snakes have a little personality, but it's hard for them to show a lot of love. They are very cool to hold though; I like their feel.

Um, if it is the right kind of snake, it can eat the toy poodle J/K
Dogs rock, but I'm a snake man. There is just something about them that holds my fascination.

Nicole! LOL, I guess so!
I think lots of the snake lovers, dog lovers, cat lovers, or whatever have to do with what you grew up with. We had lots of animals growing up, cats, dogs, horses, etc... but never let any of them in the house, other than my lizards and snakes of course. So I'm not used to the idea of an indoor dog or cat. I'm with BoaMan, I like the idea of putting a pet away and not having to deal with it if I don't want to. Don't wanna be chillin on the couch eatin and watchin a game then here comes the dog starving for attention. Just my thoughts! Although her dog is quite smart and generally leaves me alone.
As for second smartest dog? I've heard lots of people make claims of their type of dog bein #1 or #2, or whatever. Question is how do you prove which dog is the smartest? Her dog is a smart one though

well a quick google search showed Poodles (didn't specify toy poodles, i guess poodles in general) to be #2 on the list of smartest dogs. Both sites I went to had disclaimers sayin that it was only upon general agreement among dog lovers, no actual testing since their intelligence can't be accurately measured.
