Actually she's a sweetheart. A little on the mouthy side, but considering you've got a
mala-MUT i'm sure you have a "bit" (he,he) yourself.
I personally like chows. Don't ask me why. I suppose it's because if a chow's gonna bite, it usually lets you know way in advance. Of course my favorite dogs are quiet , use alitter box and say "meow" when they're hungry.

hahaha...meow!!! Mine too!!! Actually my mala-MUT is the best dog Ive ever owned. Hes a little different from the others...I would never own another one. He is a rescue and the most well behaved, non-dog aggressive dog. He is mouthy towards me when I ask him to do something but thats it. He listens and doesnt run away like other mals. He will sit in my front yard un supervised all day long and go no where. I guess I just got lucky. Im glad you like chows...that means that at least someone takes good care of them...I see so many not taken care of its just SAD.
As for the tegu, he is the naughtiest animal ive ever owned. He is gold and black and when you open his cage, he charges you, latches on and doesnt let go for awhile. I still love him though, but he is CRAZY!!!!! and EVIL!!!! He wants my blood!!LOL

there's really no such thing as gold and black (unless it's a new morph I don't know about....) it's probably a black, tupanimbus teguixin all younguns have a gold tint, but with each shed the gold will turn more and more into white starting with the tail. April (juggalettefwb) just got a black, it's the calmest tegu I've ever seen!! I've never heard it huff, and it will just sit on her shoulder, amazing! I hold my black EVERY DAY and she is still really testy though. she's getting better, just slowly. how do you feed evil? I've found that if you out food in a seperate box, then put the fiesty little tegu in, they calm down quite a bit. also, I've heard that not feeding enough meat can make them more aggresive, I havent noticed that though. -Juggalo

Well, I dont really know anything about tegus(breed wise) except what kindof climate they need so I wouldnt know what kind he really is. Evil eats f/t large mice from tongs(every 3 days), crickets and scrambled eggs mixed with calcium. He was givin to me due to him being aggressive and though I think hes the neatest thing I own, we just dont get along. And believe me Ive tried. We have different worlds, but I gave him an awesome set up to live in and besides him not liking me, he seems happy.
impermanentrage, We had our first moggot dog of the year the other day. It was a chow that ended up being put down. He had 3 large holes, about 5 inches in diameter each, VERY DEEP, and was matted worse then ANY chow ive seen yet. It also had a ingrown collar. SOSOSO SAD . I felt so bad for it and wanted to behead the owners whos famous quote was "It wasnt like that yesterday". You probably see the same thing so you know how I feel.

hehe, I know what you mean! they can be really stubborn. you can also try fruit in evil's diet. fruit has a lot of nutrients they they need. try strawberries, raspberries, any kind of melon (NO WATERMELON SEEDS!), apples (NO APPLE SEEDS!), pears, squash, kiwi... they really like it, it might help calm him down a bit. my girlfriend April's (Juggalettefwb) tegu is just amazing!, sooooo chill! good luck with him, if ya ever want to find him a new home, you know where I am, hehe. -Juggalo

Well, it's nice to know i'm not the only one who has to deal with the pungent stench (not the band) of backyard chows w/ larval infestation. I'm sure you and i could go into great detail as to what it looks and sounds (the best part) like, but i'll refrain so as to not nauseate the others on the board ATM. Personally i'll take a collar in the neck on a chow over, some throw away pit that's got fight wounds over a week old with the same infrestation problems. Or neonatal kittens w/ coccidia(you know where the maggots are than).
