I felt that I should take the time to introduce myself to those who do not already know me before I begin posting. My name is B W Smith, owner of Southern Reptile Education. I keep and breed all venomous species native to Georgia (as many as the law allows ). I have had hands-on experience with virtually every type of venomous species worldwide including some that I don't particularly like working with (eg mambas, spitters, O. hannah). I also present venomous species education to various groups and Envenomation Treatment lectures to emergency medical personell and fire departments. I am currently working on a herpetological survey of a WMA here in Georgia for the DNR. LaCrosse footwear also asked me to do some independant testing on their new Fang Snakeboot. So far, it is doing well, let's see how it holds up after a season of field herping I enjoy herping every chance I get. In addition to venomous species of snake and spider, I also enjoy my yellow anacondas, red tails, red foot torts, Leos, and other odds and ends that I have from time to time. My site is currently out of date and is being reconstructed, so there is not much there unless you want to see some good photos. The updated site will have Reptile Laws for every state, a complete listing and information about every snake native to GA, and a few other sections.
Some of the Hot keepers here may know my most famous snake, Preacher Killer (PK), a 48" Cottonmouth (conanti).
Well, I guess that is about it for me. I just wanted everyone to know where I was coming from when I post. I look forward to speaking with all of you and offering whatever information i can.

LOL. Brian is just one of those guys you can meet up with at 7 pm ...talk for 30 minutes but when ya look at your watch it's 1 am...If you have a day job...stay away from Brian LOL.
