this forum is different
Hey to all, My name is jon and I live in west MI. I have 1 BCI apx 7 MO. This is my first snake, I am not into the whole breeding thing, I enjoy very much handling my boa and spending time with it. I have been active in another RTB forum for a while and that has helped educate me before I brought my new snake home. I have noticed that on the other forum if you did'nt have a BCC, "super-hypo" type or a snake from a certain well-known breeder and such that you somehow are just one of them, the "average".
From what I could tell from visiting this forum that you guys are somehow different from that. The only thing I aspire to gain from fellow snake owners is to learn all that I can to provide the best experience for Mojo (that is my boas name). It is "magical" for me to watch how my snake moves, to see it moving about checking everything out, it's curiosity is amazing. My boa is aprox. 30 inches long and is eating small rats. I can tell allready since we made the switch from mice to rats that it is getting bigger.
I really enjoy this forum for the how-to page and seeing other posts from members who also own snakes for the pet aspect. I look forward to checking out more posts in this forum and learning all I can. I may just be a one snake owner to an average/common boa, but that is what I wanted from the start. I enjoy meeting others who share similar veiws and look forward to getting to know all of you better. Sorry for the "rant" I am still recovering.  Thanks, Jon

Wow, I can't believe there is such snobbery on other sites. It is certainly not like that here. My two RTB's are certainly nothing special by breeders' standards, but I think every snake is special. So welcome, and I do think you will like it here.
