Not dead after all!
Nope, still around.
Been going through some truly hard times. Blah. Things are finally settling down(I sure as heck hope so, anyway) so I've come back from the Great Beyond Beyond RTB.
I've been working on breeding projects, and getting them all off the ground. So far, having spectacular luck with that, mostly in my ball pythons. Working on 25% poss. hets for piebald this year, and put a few together that have similarly bizarre coloring.
Let's see... Jennyr almost died; my gopher snakes escaped and were gone almost two months, but I found them both this week... Hubby got an infected impacted wisdom tooth(Between him and Jennyr, we spent over a thousand dollars we didn't have to begin with on emergencies. >.< )... just a ton of fun. x_x
But, things are on their way to being not-so-terrible (I hope) and I plan on frequenting here again more often.
So, yay, I'm back again. lol

Re: Not dead after all!
Yay for finding your gopher snakes..! But boo to everything else, that really sucks, hun.
I hope everything perks up for you in the coming weeks at least, I was wonderin' where you'd been. Merry X-mas, or whatever Holiday you have fun celebrating~! Hopefully things turn around for the better!

Re: Not dead after all!
lol, I hate the holidays.
I'm a new-age scrooge, really. I don't rain on everyone else's parade, but I hate pretty much everything about this time of year.
I had a really good chili and cornbread dinner tonight... that certainly helped my mood.
I'm hoping things turn around, too. >.o been a downright ugh-tastic couple of months. x_x

Re: Not dead after all!
Lol! Truth be told, I can't stand this time of year, either.. loved it as a kid, but it got old once I hit the late-teens mark. Probably about the time my Parents had a fallout and separated and it kinda kills the holiday mood alltogether.
That, and I'm just a grumpy when it comes to get-togethers where I'm actually forced to be half-decently social.

Re: Not dead after all!
Ah. My big xmas ruining events were that my mother got sick and tired of hearing me talk about Santa, and told me when I was 4 that no such man existed, and if I didn't stop living in fantasy-land she'd take all my presents back to the department store.
Followed by seasonally-inspired drunken fights between my folks, and all the other kids getting million-times better presents and having families that actually got -closer- and more bonded around the holidays.
Thanksgiving through Easter is a down-time, just for the memories. Not to mention, it's cold, and wet, and miserable. The roads are unsafe, the people are demented with xmas fever... blah. Lots of doohickey.

So I'm coming to understand, looking through the posts.
I almost had to sell all my snakes. >.< And all 20+ snakes were riding on the results from my vet's radiologist.
I didn't eat for a week 'cause I was so worried I couldn't keep anything down. ~.~ I'm still dealing with the residuals from that. (yay wonkey blood sugar levels and a re-establishing metabolism!)
