Finnik is on a distinguished road
Hi all! I'm new w/a rescued Beardie!

Hey guys! *waves*
I'm new to the site! Just wanted to say Hey! So, Hey!
I am the proud mom to a BD I rescued 2 weeks ago. I am also the proud mom to:
2 Great Danes
1 GSD
1 Rott/Shar-Pei/GSP mix
1 Chihuahua
7 ferrets
1 cat
Anywho, my Beardie is named Irwin, and he/she was a owner surrender at my work (I work in a pet store). The former owner couldn't remember the last time he ate, and he *guesses* his age to be between 7-9 months. Irwin is about a foot long, but I don't know his weight as I don't have a scale yet. Irwin had been living in a Tupperware container for who knows how long.
I took him home and he has been a happy camper ever since. He is clearly gaining weight, and has recently started eating more of his salad. He eats gut-loaded crickets every day. Not as many as I think he should be eating, but I'm just glad he's eating. 5 days a week I dust the crickets with reptical and 2 days with herpivite.
He is living in a 40 gallon breeder with a 10.0 UVB and 100 watt household bulb. I also use a 60 watt light. I bathe him every day, and he is finally learning to swim which is just cute as can be.
Sorry for writing a novel here. I'm glad I joined and I look forward to getting to know everyone and their pets!
