sup all new to the site

whats up everyone im new to the site as you all can guess..anyway im 18 years old and live in Morristown Tennessee.I have a fiancee and she helps with the snakes as well i love to play guitar in my spare time and i love to spend the rest of my time with my snakes...i have 3 ball pythons 1 of them is about 2 feet long maybe a little less but is going into his 4th shed since ive had it...not sure if its a female or male ive gotta go get that checked soon...ive got a female that is around 5 feet long and a male that is a little over 4 and a half feet long...i take them outside on sunny days and let them just move around...i have a mite medicine that i spray on them every 3 or 4 days and i was told its ok to let them play in the grass outside as long as i keep an eye on them at all times and keep watch for mites and other parasites that may harm them...i was also told that i can soke them in warm water after i bring them in from outside.... the guy i got them from sold the 2 snakes the cage the heating and a few other goodies all for $100..he told me he was tired of fooling with them and plus he bought 2 tortoises and needed room for those...he had them for quite some time and the whole time he had them they never made and effort to breed...well a week after i got them they began to breed but i wasnt ready for it because i was in the middle of getting another cage for the male to seperate them from one another...i had been doing some research online and in books about 4 months before i bought my first one and i never planned on breeding them until i got used to them..so u know i figured i could leave the male and female together untill i got the other cage i kinda figured wrong lol anyway in the last 3 to 4 weeks the female has stopped eating and has gained 9oz all the typical signs of a pregnant snake...im kind of needing some help on what to do if she really is and how long it takes to hatch them i dont really have the experiance to start an incubator and i was told the female will do better then any incubator so thats what i think ill do if i can...like i said i really didnt have no plans on breeding them right away because i dont have no clue how all it works...it just kinda happened because of me leaveing them together...it was my own mistake i guess but the guy i bought them from said it would be ok to keep them together for a while or untill i got another cage to move the male too...and i know i sound like a total idiot because of this but things happen lol and ill be the first to let you know that when it comes to breeding this soon having no experiance with breeding i am an idiot thats why i was up for 3 hours later then i wanted to be last night looking for this site lol anyway i hope that i am welcome here on this site and i hope that as time goes on all of you will help me with this process...and welcome me to the site as one of you..theres one more thing i want to say...the BP i got back in May witch is my smallest one because i was told it was the best starter snake for someone my age but if i was younger a corn snake or a cali king would be better...ive had no problems out of none of them they never hiss and have never biten me or my fiancee...thanks to all of u for your time and ur help...if u want to talk to me Via email or yahoo messager my screen name is insaneguitarist8885 email is insaneguitarist8885@yahoo.com and my myspace is www.myspace.com/insaneguitarist8885 thank you all again for you time and your help

As far as breeding help, maybe check out the breeders forum, or you could try the Help forum.

Besides starting new threads, the search function is another Great way to find answers to some questions. There are lots of threads, and lots of questions have been asked and answered. Sometimes it can be Faster to search a topic to see if it has been discussed and perhaps your answer lies there. Just a lil bit of advice to the newcomer!
