Of course I am new here..... I just purchased a Red Tail and love it. It is about 3 months old and is approx 22" long.
I wanted to say thank you to everyone here that has posted. The information has been very helpful in educating me in the proper care and handling of the newest addition to the menagerie.
Well thanks again!

LOL..no kidding!! I had a single Royal python when I found this site. Have always loved snakes, kept a couple quite a few years ago and am getting back into it. I now have 7, soon to be 9!! Nowhere near some of the collections around here, but I have to soften up the b/f before getting any more (he used to live in VA Beach, too...he was in the Navy)
AND WELCOME TO RTB!!! I've learned SO much here. Enjoy your stay!

Well the wheels are turning fast for the second snake..... my wife informed me last night she would like a snake of her own.
I put a post up in the Just Talk section looking for some tips on a snake for my wife.
She was the one that swore that she would have nothing to do with the snake when it first arrived at the home. Now she is the one pulling it out and holding it every night
What we have narrowed it down to is a Rosy Boa or Hogg Island Boa.... any suggestions on where to get one online would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again!
Oh.... here is a link to some pics of the first snake

be very, very careful! this is addicting! i let my 9 year old son buy a cornsnake in April of this year, i was afraid of it and it was only 14" long
since then we now have 0.2 corn snakes, 2.2 columbians(with another female on the way), 1.0 surinam red tail, and 1.1 bearded dragons! my office is now a herp room!
get all of your supplies before you get an animal and all will be happy
P.S. YOU HAVE FOUND A GOOD SITE WITH A LOT OF INFO - USE IT OFTEN
