New to Site from Big-D

Good day to all of you!
I have been a lurker for some time but haven't posted up... I've left that to my "better half" Tinkrbelle...
I have already had the pleasure of meeting David (DButton) at the San Antonio show over the past weekend and I must say that I enjoyed the trip a lot.
The new Baby is doing well and he's already been introduced to his future partner in crime.
I am not worried too much about keeping them quarantined because I know David kept his babies in excellent conditions.
I plan on letting them both have the same cage here in a day or so.

So, We now have "Hera" and the newly acquired "Zeus"
But lets see... my past snakes.
I had a Peruvian Red-Tail, named "poncho”, which I kept for over 10 years till he died of a respiratory infection.
I was in a poorly maintained home that was very old, so I can easily understand why he would have gotten something.
I have also had a speckled king, named "sisco" (that escaped and I found him about a week after his escape. He decided to cross the main st. in town... wound up 2-dimentional.)

Anyways...I'll start posting and not be so much of a lurker anymore.
Russ

you should quarentine them anyway for at least a month in 2 separate rooms...im not doubting david's care or anything but its just precautionary because you never know what will happen in a week or 2. =)

and post pics!!!!

Hey, I know you! When he says TALL he means it. I am 6' 5" and I had to look up to see his chin. LOL!
I must agree with Lethargic on this one though, at least keep them in seperate cages till your vet visit, although since they have already been together it is probably a moot point now. BUt it would probably still be good to keep them seperate for a while.
Glad to have you on the forums Russ.

David

I'll keep them seperate at least until the Doc. checks them out.

We have a vet here that will give any "new pet" a free check-up. (she LOVES snakes too.) They are really nice and thorough inspections as well.

I'll post up some pics later tonight possibly.
