figured I would introduce myself..
Im adam, im 15 and live in NC.. I have one snake right now, my amel corn, and *possibly* adopting an abused milk snake over spring break. I dont have any boids,,, yet. Dad wont let me get any more snakes, but I plan on having 20 snakes, including corn snakes, emerald tree boas, milk snake, ball pythons, house snake, red tail boa, eastern indigo, rosy boas, and womas. Maybe when I move out They have a nice rtb at the local pet shop, but I dont have anywhere to keep him/her right now, plus I dont have a job right now. I think when I get my job back, my dad will let me get some more snakes, but as long as he is payin for the mice, whatever
thats me \/ (and the \/ is supposed to be a down arrow)
here is a pic of my snake, faroah.
peace

Hi and welcome to RTB!
The best advice that I can give you comes from my personal experience... Don't go hog wild and buy everything that you want all at once. My collection has gotten to exactly the size I want it even though there are a lot of other critters I'd love to own. Just make sure you keep only as many animals as you can take good care of.
-Morti, Like that.

Another thing I plan on doing is getting an average size vivarium set up with nothing in it (no snakes that is) in it so i can drop by the cheapo pet store and save some of those snakes that look miserable.. I hate seeing a nice snake in bad conditions. It would make me feel better just to feed them and get them shedding right, then give them to someone who might care

Hi & Welcome!
Very nice looking guy you have there. Be careful on your wish list, don't get in over your head. I now have 18 and it takes my anywhere from 6-8 hours to feed them all, that's not including spot cleaning, bathing, etc. Just really enjoy the one you have for now, you have a whole wonderful life ahead of you.
(Of course, a few more wouldn't be so bad )
Enjoy!

Hey, welcome. Careful about those mistreated petstore snakes -- the more you buy, the more they'll carry. Sucks, but that's one battle we aren't going to win that way.
Ditto on everybody's comments re: expanding your collection. Just bear in mind that you only have so much time, and in a few years you'll be in college or working or both -- and your little friends will be with you into your forties. If I didn't have my wife around to keep me rational, I'd probably have a few more than my current three boas, but I'd be wrong to do it. There are those nights you have to wait up because your stupid snake decides to swallow a rat sideways for two hours, the mornings you have to get out the door to work when you discover your friend has taken a giant crap that has to be gotten rid of *now,* and with each new snake come more of these delights. Don't spread yourself too thin. You seem like a smart guy -- you'll know what to do.
Anyhow, nice to meet you.

Hereis the milk snake i was talking about, peublan apricot milk snake, just a baby, hardly a foot long. Not tame, never really held, no heat, no hiding place, no food, nothing. Well, I dont know if she is mine of not, but im getting attached. If they say no I might just have to slip it on a suitcase .... "I swear she must have escaped her little cage!!"
Very pretty snake, jumpy as all. You go to get her, and she jets! Fastest snake i have ever held. Once you get her out, she will get tamed down, but some times she bites (dont hurt, no worries here)

That is a pretty milksnake. I would be careful with the 'sneaking out in a suitcase' comments. Heaven forbid she does escape, you will be blamed. I do hope you get her though, she needs someone to take good care of her.
