Veileds & greens?

Before I got my first chameleon I was reading through some books, and found that veiled chameleons like to eat plants sometimes... particularily ficus and pothos leaves. I was wondering if anyone else had actually experienced this? I've tried to see if my chameleon would be interested in them, but he prefers his crickets. I guess plants don't move around enough to get his attention. =)
