I have two panther Chamelions that have been raised together. I purchased them about a week ago. One of them was already acting sick...but I did it anyway. Mostly as a favor... Anyway- yesterday Ziggy became very lethargic and I went home during my lunch break to check on her. Now this is where it gets graphic- It looks as if her intestine is coming out. It looks like a bloody bubble at the moment. She was obiviously in a lot of pain and not moving much. I live in an area where there arent any reptile vets close by, so I have an appointment tody. BUT my question to anybody who may get this before I go...has this happened to anyone else?? Do you know what it is or what caused it and if its contageous or not. When I set up the appointment I couldnt get any answers because the vet hadnt seen her yet. Im really worried about her and dont even know if shes alive right now. I tried to feed her but she wouldnt take anything, but she did drink some water. Any advice?? Please respond to my hotmail account- Shannoncarney@hotmail.com, or at the least, go ahead and respond here. Thanks for your time.

Shannon

Hmmm... Chameleons are bad about stressing out, and even though it was sick when ya got it, it still needed to see a vet.
Sounds like a prolapse ( bowels and rectum protruding from anal area)
When you get back from the vet, you will want to quarentine the sick from the other one.

Any ways, let us know how it goes at the docs.

And welcome to Redtail !
Just wish your first post woulda been more cheerful for ya...
