This is one of the hardiest of all Chameleon species. The babies should take right off on wingless fruitflies, or pin head crickets. This is a very abundant species in which it ranges in the Usambara mountain range of Tanzania. Their habitat is more of a woodland, but not as wet as a rain forest.
