chameleon is acting weird
he drank alooot of water and he is opening his mouth and looking like hes about to throw up any suggestions on what is happening

He could be too hot. When animals gape their mouths wide open it may mean temps are too high and he needs to cool down. It also could be a number of things. We need more info for anyone to be able to help. Habitat, food, temps, captive bred or wild caught etc...

ok
he is in a 24x18x36 screen cage he eats crickets he used to eat 8-9 now he eats 6-7 i have a 100 watt heay bulb thats about 90-95 and i think hes wild caught im not sure i rescued him from a local pet store that had him in a very small cage heis about 9-10 inches

its 90 to 95 in your cage? thats tooo hott! my hott in my chameleon cage is about 82 to 84

for a veiled chameleon
its to hott what should i do i dont have a lower wattage bulb and this is the 1st time ive ever even seen him do this ive had that bulb for about 2 months now from the time i got him that was the bulb i used

does he open hs mouth and swing back and forth or does he just open his mouth. 95 is a good basking temp for veiled but i woud drop the buld to a 75watt. how often does he get water.what color was he when he open his mouth. he might have became sexually mature and is more teritorial now when your around. photo would help a lot.
