chameleon worries
hey i got a veild about a month ago hes about 8 inches long from head to tail
i have him in 24x12x36 screen cage with 2 pothos and alot of vines and sticks i am worried about his health he has a white spot on his lip and he isnt green alot most of the time hes olive green hes eating i dust the crickets with vitamin and he has a 100 watt basking lamp and a 5.0 uv bulb i have not given him any calcium supplement(powder) he seems happy but he goes to a corner and puffs up and turns spotted and turquise and opens his mouth like hes goin to bite me i handled him for the 1st time today (i dont think he liked it) im just worried im doing something wrong PLZ HELP

We have a veiled and she has always puffed up and gotten darker and threatens to bite...very vicious lol, nothing to worry about.

ok..dust crickets with vitamins one day...then just plain crickets the next day, then dust with calcium one day and then plain crickets the next and keep this going on....good luck

Veileds aren't a chameleon you can hold... they're more of a display animal because they stress really easily and don't like handling at all. I never hold mine unless i'm cleaning his enclosure.
