TBH I'd actually say a brb is easier than a cham as you need to be on the look for WC ones and as a beginner it's best to start with one that's 1yr+ just make sure they have therequired amount of heat, light, humidity and ventilation all spot on and they're okay usually, they can be handled though it's not always a brilliant idea as they can be stressy animals. Not a keeper myself as i don't feel they're a starter lizard and require more maintainance then i'm confident i could give so i leave well alone. Not saying don't get one i'm just saying think very very carefully first.

for a beginner chameleon owner i would start off with a 4-5 month old veiled. they do require a lot of work. but once you get one it is real easy to work with i have had them for 2 yrs. you would want a male they live longer and have better colors. the best place to ask about chameleons is www.chameleonforums.com. i'm a member there and they are great to answer all question
