I went to my petstore yesterday to get some fish and i saw they had a little tiny baby chameleon for $50 is that a good price? Some of the animals in the pet store are expensive like a ball python for $115( i use to think that was cheap)

It really depends on what kind of chameleon it was, how healthy it was, and if it was wild caught. I've seen wild-caught leaf chams go for under $20, but captive bred, nicely colored panthers can go for $300 or more.

As Reptilemama said, it depends on the species of chameleon.

I'm willing to bet that it was/is a baby Veiled, just because they seem to be real big right now in the pet stores. The store that I work at has a number of baby Veiled Chams around the size you said, but I think our price is higher.

the ones most commonly seen in pet shops are viels, flapnecks and senegals... baby's dont always have the brilliant colors that adults do so you really cant use that as a way to figure out which it was
