Question Is it possible to overfeed a baby veiled cham?

He's just about 7 weeks old, and very small. I got him last saturday (a week ago) and I'm not sure if he had eaten anything until Wednesday when I saw him eat fruit flies I had offered him. Since then, I am out of crickets, and he seems to prefer the fruit flies anyhow, but he eats a LOT of them. I gave him almost 20 in a cup, he ate them all, then started searching the cage for more food. He even watched one that had managed to fly and was flying around the cage, and tried to catch it but just hit his tongue on the cage wall several times until I finally caught it and got rid of it so he wouldnt hurt himself. He always seems to be hungry since he started eating... Whatever I toss in there, he eats it. His little tummy is really fat (yay! cuz he had been really skinny). Im just wondering if I should limit how much he eats? or just give him what he wants because he is so small? Any input is useful... Also, I dont think I've ever seen him sleep... Everytime I see him he's walking around doing something. Sometimes he lays on a little basking place and sits still for a long time, but his little eyes dont close, is he sleeping? Or maybe he sleeps in the day while I'm at work, I don't know, just a little worried, maybe he is stressed out and doesnt sleep? Also, sometimes he has little black stripes and dots on him while he is basking, even if I am not near him, so I dont think its stress. Not to mention, the stripes go away when I come by his cage. I thought he would get dark when he was stressed, not the other way around? Talk to yall soon

Mary
