Wow, very nice!
I ordered a few more of Big Apple's digital thermometers recently.
This time I went with the single probe thermo/hygrometer style (I have four two-location temp single probe models and absolutely love them).
Ordered four. Now mind you, these units measure the temperature of one location and the humidity of one location, not to be confused with their highest end model which measures the temperatures of two locations as well as the humidity with a dual-probe system.
Well, anyway (confused yet? I know I am) they were delivered today and I noticed as I was putting in batteries and calibrating that I only received 3 of the models I ordered. The 4th had two probes! They misshipped the freakin' order and gave me their best model for $10 less than it actually costs! I looked at the box it came in, confirmed my theory on my invoice and it was even listed as the incorrect model, but was "tested" prior shipment!
SCORE!

Re: Wow, very nice!
I'm sure Big Apple will be very pleased that you caught their mistake and then called them to correct it.

 Wow, really?
But seriously, I think I will. There's a reason I didn't order that model - in order to measure the temperatures of two locations you must hit the button, sort of a hassle when you've the unit within an enclosure. Simple solution: don't monitor the temperatures of two locations, just leave it one... But... that's too little control for my comfort.
If they'll pay for RS then I'll give it back to them.

Re: Wow, very nice!
They would actually lose money exchanging it if it's only a $10 difference. looks like you made out

Re: Wow, very nice!
As I commented before, the model annoyed me theoretically (hence my not having bought it) and now annoys me in reality. In fact, they all do, but, that's what you get with digital thermometers.
Analog, digital, they're all ridiculous.
