Hello i have a col red tail boa (female) about a year old i would guess. I have her in a 30 gal long cage, Riley is about three foot in length, give or take a cdouple of inches. i have a 90gal tank and a big plastic cage about 7ft by 3ft by 2ft, with sliding glass doors on the front.
How long should i keep riley in the 30 gal?
If she needs to be moved is the 90gal or plastic cage to big?
or Should i buy a 55gal or something?
Thanks in advance.

you can move your rtb into the big tank now.if you do put her in the big cage put pleanty of hides for her.its also much harder to heat a cage of that size.i wouldnt buy another cage if i were you.

yeah, you can make the switch now if you want. I'm making a cage right now that's 8X4X4 ft for my 2 boas. I know alot of people don't say house them together but if there 2 male boas and I take care of my snakes, I don't see the problem. I will have seperate hides all over and I will deck out there cage with stuff but....that's just my opinion. If it's a year old it's over 4 feet right???? I'd go to the 90 gal tank....

you can really move her now if you want. just make sure there are plenty of places for her to hide. in the wild they don't even have cages! IMO as long as there are plenty of places to hide there is no enclosure to big. -Juggalo
