New cage pics (set-up)
Here are some pictures of the finished product. I ended up adding a place on the hot side for a CHE. Before I even tried it out I really wanted to make sure I give my boa as many options as possible. So to avoid adding that later (after he is in and settled). This is working nicely for a basking spot approximately 5-10 degrees hotter than floor.
For those in the group that may not have seen the raw cage pics, here is the link My new BCI cage, finished. it is for our 9 mo BCI named mojo.
here are pics of the lamp/CHE
inside pics
can you find mojo?
That is all the pics I have to post.
I am also using a Ranco thermostat for controlling the flexwatt heaters. The temps and humidity are working out well. It is really nice to see my boa utilizing the different temperatures in the cage, I feel pretty good knowing there are some options now. It appears he is loving it, one week ago today is when we made the move. He was out this afternoon for a while, and returned with a full belly (F/T small rat).

Thanks, that is a picture my wife took of him a day last week, at that point I think he was still a little nervous.
We did wait 1 full week after the move before we even attempted to handle him. So last night was the first time he was even out.
Thanks to all for the comments too.

Re: New cage pics (set-up)
Very nice cage. You did a great job on that. That boa won't get bored and lazy in there.

Re: New cage pics (set-up)
That's a really cool looking setup! What did you use for the back wall/background?
What are you using to seal around the heat bulb? I couldn't see anything specifically, but is there a screen or grid over the heat lamp so he can't stretch up and get burned by the heat source?
That little peekaboo picture of his face is really cute!
