I am very experienced in reptiles and i have decided to bring a rather large iguana into my house.

I live in florida and can keep the cage outside most of the year, but during the winter i want to bring its cage inside.

I want to know how to make a portable iguana cage for a 3 and a half foot iguana, it sounds chalinging but i know i can do it with a lil help from you!

Any cage plans or tips would be greatly appreciated

thanx

Those PVC cages work GREAT!! We have a few of them and will be building more also. We use them generally for the rescues that we take in of Igs here. They are very easily put together, can be made to whatever size you need, break down easily to move around [ ie inside/outside], easy to clean etc...
One suggestion though..Please make sure that you use the type of "wire" mesh that has the plastic coating on it for the safety of the iG. They love to climb on the sides of the cage and that will make for them not "cutting" their digits also when doing such from the wire. You also can use the very flexible type of mesh for building a shelf about halfway up for them to bask on also. We give them a shelf that is about 3/4 of the total floor space of the cage also btw. Just add a smaller strip of it that extends from the floor to the shelf for them to utilize in climbing up to the shelf is all. Also place newspaper on top of the bottom/flooring wire to protect their digits and also make for easier cleaning of the cage bottom too. These cages are also inexpensive to build compared to most too
