OK anyone looking for a great looking show cage should look here these cage's look extra nice! I saw one in person last night and it was pretty impressive! I've heard they will even build bigger than the largest size shown. Still not sure on that though so I emailed them to see if the will. I will tell you the one I saw was housing a North Pacfic Rattler and it was quite nice. Anyway as soon as I get a return email from them I'll let ya know just how big they will build exactly.
Oh yeah they also have Arboreal cage's also!

Shadrach,
He was at the Atlanta Show, and I talked to him. Seems like a good deal, I personally don't like them. Seems to me that with ALL sides clear, the stress level for some snakes would be unbearable. I dont' like using aquariums either for this reason. All my snakes are happy when they only have 1 clear side...the doors. I believe they feel more secure. Just my .02 worth.

Those do look nice, but I agree that it may cause undue stress to the animal if they were exposed on all sides.
but they look very nice.

There's a number of ways around that though. And I really don't think snakes stress too much after they are acclimated to their surroundings and use to seeing us walking around and such. Maybe smaller snake's but larger one's I've never noticed it affecting them. Most of mine follow me with their eye's or head when I'm in ther room anyway.

I think these cages look nice, but they would be a definate no no for a chameleon. I kinda agree with Shad on the stress factor. I think the real stress comes in the placement of the cage. If it's not in a high traffic area and/or you put plenty of hide spaces in it, they should be ok. I mean, in the wild the sky is pretty vast and they seem to deal ok with it. I guess I just don't see that as a problem.
Anyway, I like the idea of it. Functionality may be a nother story. I have not used acyrlic and really can't say how it works. Has anyone here?

I modified an acrylic aquarium into a boa enclosure. It kept heat and humidity very well. He would come out of his hide and cruise the cage. I would not say he was ever stressed, but then he had places to hide and plants to crawl into. I honestly believe that stress levels will lower if the animal in question is given a 'secure' environment, as opposed to a 'sterile' one.

I think they look very nice. I am in the process of building a new home for my 2 boas but in the meantime they are housed in all glass tanks. I don't think they are stressed. They have places to go when they don't want to be seen. They are keepet in my livingroom and most of they time i think they are more intrested in what i am doing and watching me than I am of them. I take them out a lot so i think they are used to the room and don't freak out when they see me walking around. My little 4 month old girl gets shy once in a while , but mostle just wants to see what i am doing. So I think as long as you have hids and greenery in the tank they will be ok.
