affordable shelving to house two large snake tanks
currently we have each 4 ft x 1.5 ft x 2 ft (apx) tank on a separate stand/table, but we need to save space in our new place so I'd like to stack them on shelving. I've looked at home depot and didn't see anything that could accommodate the need to remove the tank lid to clean/feed. Any suggestions on something affordable I could buy for this purpose? I am not a carpenter, so it has to be something premade, maybe utility shelving, something like that?
Any suggestions much appreciated, I don't want to downsize their homes!

Re: affordable shelving to house two large snake tanks
The cheapest and easiest, sturdy shelving I can think of would be 8 cinderblocks 8X8X16 and 4 pieces of 1X8 about 57 inches long.
Won't be much for looks but it'll hold your cages.

Re: affordable shelving to house two large snake tanks
thank you for the reply. I'm a little concerned with having to shift the tanks out a bit to remove the lid for feeding and cleaning, especially one on top of the other. I was thinking something like this, but maybe there's a cheaper alternative?

Re: affordable shelving to house two large snake tanks
Now might be a good time to consider front opening stackable cages. Plastic for preference.
Cages like these for instance:
Boaphile Plastics!!! The FIRST source of nearly every plastic cage/rack innovation in existence!

Re: affordable shelving to house two large snake tanks
I've never had any luck with that type of metal shelving but perhaps those are made of heavier metal than what I've gottn over the years.
Let me know how it works out.
