Help New IRIS CB-70 rack, help me with my thermostat probe !!

Well, i finally got my new ReptileBasics IRIS CB-70 rack today in the mail !

Now, i just dont know what to do with the probe from the thermostat, should i put it under the tub on top of the flexxwatt or should i place it vertically on the flexxwatt on the side of the rack.....i tried to tape it on the bottom (under the tub) but the tub snagged on it when i tried to push the tub in.

Is just simply taping it onto the flexxwatt enough ? is there a certain type of tape to use ??

Put it on top of the flexwatt out of the way of the tub sliding in and out so it doesn't catch on it.

Tape it down using aluminum tape. If you need some, PM your address and I can send you some for it free of charge.

Re: New IRIS CB-70 rack, help me with my thermostat probe !!

Thanks for the quick response ! Alright, i taped it on the side, out of the way of the tub......I plugged in the flexxwatt to the thermostat, and the thermostat (HELIX) set itself to 85.....is that it ??

Do i have to tinker with the thermostat anymore or did it do it by itself ??

Re: New IRIS CB-70 rack, help me with my thermostat probe !!

Ok, so i ended up having to set the thermostat to 95...is that about right ? its barely 80 degrees in there (abmbient temp, not hot spot temp) Should i raise it higher to about 99-100 ?

what do you guys usually set yours to, to get a nice ambient temp of around 82 ?

Also, will unplugging it and moving cause me to have to reset everything again ?
