Alright I think I read this somewhere before, but I'd like to make sure I am correct.
An aquarium size for a snake is ok as long as the snake's total length is no greater than 1 and a half the lenth of the aquarium? Right now I have my baby BRB in a 10 gallon tank. She's about the length of the tank right now. My problem is that due to my class schedule this summer I won't be able to get a job until July at the earliest, and thus not be able to afford a new cage until then (unless someone buys my gamecube at a good price).
So should this ten gallon last me a few months or am I gunna squish my snake, heh

The rule of thumb I go by, is length + width should be equal or greater than length of snake
so... a 10 gallon, which is about 2x1' will house a 3' long snake. Your BRB should be ok
in that size tank until July/August, they are a slender snake... I'd suggest getting a 30
gallon next, as this should work for your BRB to adult size. (I keep my BRB in a tank
that is 3x2x2... 3' +2' = 5' of snake) Good luck
